The New York State Police in Lafayette and Elbridge arrested Gregory S Guptill, 36 years of age, of 2467 Kamm Rd, Otisco for the following charges:
Burglary in the Second Degree (C Felony), Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree (A Misdemeanor), Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree (A Misdemeanor) and 2 counts of Harassment in the Second Degree (Violation).
The charges stem from an incident that occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday, Feb. 17, where Guptill allegedly forcibly entered the Otisco home of his ex-girlfriend's current boyfriend and engaged in a physical altercation with him. Guptill subsequently forced his ex-girlfriend into his vehicle and drove her to his residence, restraining her from exiting the vehicle. The current boyfriend and one other person followed Guptill to his residence and were able to remove her from the vehicle. Guptill is also charged with intentionally damaging the cell phone of his ex-girlfriend to prevent her from calling police. He was arraigned in the Otisco Court and remanded on $15,000 cash/bond.
