Octagon House announces Mystery Dinner Theatre

The Octagon House of Camillus announced last week that their annual Mystery Dinner Theatre weekend will take place Saturday Feb. 16 and Sunday Feb. 17 at Gilfillan's Westhill Catering Club, located on West Genesee Turnpike (Route 5), just west of the village of Camillus.

The interactive comedy, titled Deadly Inheritance, will be performed by well-known local troupe The Acme Mystery Company.

The plot revolves around the matriarch of a wealthy family who is gravely ill and wishing to settle her estate. The fun begins when her long-lost younger son Richard must be declared officially dead. Participants join in and battle other intensely greedy relatives to memorialize "Little Dickie" and claim their spot to receive the lion's share of the family's $13 Billion fortune.

Doors open Saturday evening at 6 p.m. with the show and dinner beginning at 7 p.m. Doors open at 1 p.m. for Sunday's show, with the show and dinner starting at 2 p.m. Dinner will be herb-crusted chicken cordon bleu.

Tickets are $38.50 and the proceeds will benefit the Octagon House of Camillus. Tickets are sold by advanced registration only. Seating is limited. For more information and to order tickets, call event co-chairs Nancy and Vars Smith at 487-5911.
