Black or turquoise? Long or short? What dress will you wear to the prom?
The Baldwinsville Girls' Varsity Lacrosse team knows it's not too early to be thinking about your plans for the prom. That's why the team is ready to dazzle with a prom fashion show that will take place this weekend.
The girls are teaming up with Boom Babies, the largest prom dress resource in Syracuse, to provide prom goers with the season's hottest designs. Team members will be modeling all the latest fashions for ball and prom and Baldwinsville's own Tuxedo Manor will have tuxedos modeled by male escorts from C. W. Baker High School. Purse, jewelry and limousine companies will also be displaying their products and services for all to research.
The fashion event will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday Feb. 10 at Mohegan Manor. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased from any one of the lacrosse players or at the door. In addition to the show, hors d'oeuvres, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages will be served. There will be door prizes and raffles from local jewelry stores, hairstylists, nail and beauty salons, limousine services, restaurants and much more. If you are planning on the prom, then you shouldn't miss the show.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the varsity lacrosse team members who are heading to Europe and the surrounding area over spring break. For the past five years the Baldwinsville team has hosted many teams coming all the way from Europe and now would like to take the opportunity to travel overseas themselves.
The girls finished last season with a stunning record of 14 win and 4 losses making it all the way to the finals of sectionals where they lost to West Genesee.
If you are unable to attend this event, but would like to make a donation to help the girls reach their goal, visit baldwinsvillegirlslax.com and download the necessary form. If the girls are unable to fund the necessary amount, proceeds from the event will fund a domestic trip for them.
