Manlius trustee to run for mayor

Manlius Village Trustee Mark Paul Serrafin announced Dec. 18 that he is running for mayor in the March village elections. His opponent, Trustee Marc Baum, who was appointed in April by Mayor Rick Penhall, held his kick off campaign just last week. Penhall has opted not to run for a second term.

Serrafin also announced his slate that includes incumbent Eric Krause, who will seek another four-year term as trustee; and newcomers Janice Abdo-Rott, co-owner of Creative Landscapes in Manlius and resident Mark Hills, also running for trustees.

At this time, incumbent trustee Natalie Miner has not confirmed whether or not she will seek another term.

Justice Joseph Greenman, also on Serrafin's slate, is running for re-election.
