Chittenango curbs property donation

Mayor Ronny Goeler suggested the board consider what it might want to do with the parcel.

"Before we charge Ray with spending another $210, is this something you want to do?" Goeler asked the trustees. "Is there a plan? Can you guys develop a plan for the property?"

Dep. Mayor Michael Sudol said a number of properties have been offered to the village, and all of them have come with some sort of liability. The Snyder parcel has an historical marker on it

"Well, I'm not going to make Ray jump through all these hoops, then not take it," Goeler said.

"No thank you," said Trustee Mickey Kopp. "I don't think the village should take Mr. Snyder's property. I don't see any great value in our taking it."

Trustee Wayne Horning said if there is a legitimate purpose for the village to take it, he would like village history Dick Sullivan make his case to the board.

"If Dick can bring a plan and you still want to do it, we can take it up at a later time," Goeler said.
