Again, the opposition managed just 11 shots, all scooped up by Evan Mazzoni in the net. Meanwhile, WG snagged an early 2-0 lead through heavy pressure, as it got 18 shots to Suffern's two in the opening period, then stayed patient until notching a pair of third-period goals to put it away.
For the second game in a row, D.J. Mazzoni scored twice, with Haney and Eric Mazzoni also converting. King, Michel and Bubnack each had one assist.
After a Wednesday trip to the Twin Rinks to face Cicero-North Syracuse, WG heads north on the weekend to play a pair of games, starting with Ogdensburg Free Academy on Friday and culminating Saturday with Massena -- a rematch of the epic overtime battle in last season's state Division I final.
