Pickers and jammers crash Caz Farmers' Market

A team of cousins got together in fun and industry to sell their product at the Cazenovia Farmers Market last Saturday.

"We made money and it tastes good," said Lizzie Bigsby.

The Jamsters Inc. collected blackberries from a field in Caz to make jam. Jarred and labeled, the organic blackberry sweet spread was displayed in a wagon at the Farmers Market, way at the end of the line. The trio of girls made several sales and won over hearts before an official sent them on their way.

"My brother had nothing to do with this," said Sinead Hogan.

It was later confirmed by his mother that Peter Hogan was indeed involved with the picking and gathering process of the operation, hauling in a quantity that surpassed that of at least one board member, thus implicating a fourth member of the syndicate.

"The Jamsters, yum!" said Bernadette Hogan.

The Jamsters Inc. will be donating a portion of their earnings to St. James Catholic Church. The wagon used in the industrious venture was earth-friendly and not in violation of any village codes.
