Community projects the Eastwood organization has focused on include calling bingo twice a week for the seniors at the Jewish Home of Central New York at Menorah Park, distributing dictionaries to area third grade students, and fundraising for the Children's Hospital where they donated $35,000 toward a special Oncology Room.

Again this year the group will also hold its Annual Eastwood Golf Challenge on Friday, Aug. 19 at Towne Isle Golf Club in Kirkville. The purpose of the golf challenge is to introduce disadvantaged youngsters ages 10 to 15 from the Syracuse area to the game of golf, inspiring and promoting honesty, ethics, and teamwork that fosters mutual cooperation between the youth and adults through a mentoring relationship.
