Art Park hosts watercolor show

Artists will be sprinkling their works in Caz for two months.
It's been a few years since we've had a watercolor show here in the Winner Gallery," said Dylan Otts, site manager.
The Stone Quarry Hill Art Park in Cazenovia hosts a watercolor show that opens Sunday May 4 with a reception running from 2 to 5 p.m. It will close right after the Fourth of July weekend.
"The Signature Members of the Central New York Watercolor Society are pleased to have the opportunity to display their work at the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park," said Carl Crittenden, President CNYWS.
Signature Members are juried into membership based on the quality of their work. Several members are also Signature Members of one of the National Watercolor Societies and a number of members have won prizes at national shows. Members come from all over Upstate New York with a few from Vermont and Pennsylvania
"The artists' backgrounds are diverse -- architects, bankers, teachers, etc. Some are self taught, others have college degrees in art," Crittenden said. "They all share a common desire to improve the quality of their work."
The works on exhibit will be available for purchase. There are 15 artists represented with more than 25 paintings in the show.
"With this lineup of talented local artists from the CNY Watercolor Society and spring in the air it promises to be an exciting afternoon at the Art Park," Otts said.
