Okay we always hear how people are leaving Syracuse. But what about those that are relocating to the salt city?
Meet Ingrid F. Pineda-Rogmans. She moved here from California to take the position of employment specialist with La Liga de Accion Hispana del Condado de Onondaga, Inc. (The Spanish Action League of Onondaga County, Inc.) La Liga is a non profit dual language operation. In her position she helps determine what a potential employee's skill set is and then connects them with the right employer.
She and her husband Franz Rogsman and their daughter are living in the Strathmore section and are really enjoying Syracuse. Originally from Guatamala (moved to USA at 17), this is the first time she has ever lived in a city and her first time out of California.
"The people are so warm and friendly," she said.
She was also a licsensed realtor in California and is the midst of getting her New York license. Her husband had been involved in promotions in California and is in the midst of setting up the same kind of service here.
How did she enjoy her first CNY winter?
"Wonderful, I like it," she said. "I enjoy the snow!"
