Senior Rec program to host two events
The Cazenovia Senior Recreation Program will host a luncheon in appreciation of town of Cazenovia resident Joan Keilen for her years of volunteer service to the organization and the community. Joan Keilen retired as volunteer coordinator for the Cazenovia Senior Recreation Program on Aug. 31. The event will be held on from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 16 at Hubbard Hall on the Cazenovia College campus. The cost to attend is $15 per person.
Individuals who would like to attend the luncheon can send checks to RSVP of Madison County, P.O. Box 1209, Morrisville, NY 13408-1209 by Oct. 5. Checks should be made payable to the Cazenovia Senior Recreation Program.
The CSRP will also sponsor a pot luck lunch at St. James Church from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday Oct. 18 to elect a board of directors for its newly formed non-profit organization, the Cazenovia Area Senior Association. The pot luck luncheon participants are asked to bring their own table service, beverages will be provided. The CSRP provides recreational opportunities and activities to residents who are 55 years of age and above in the village of Cazenovia and towns of Cazenovia, Nelson, Fenner. The organization promotes healthy lifestyles and offers a variety of pleasurable leisure activities for seniors.
