The lunchroom at Reynolds Elementary School was bustling with activity last Friday when grandparents (and other family members) joined their first grade grandchildren for a lunch date. Having grandparents and other special people visit the school gives the entire family a connection to the school and helps first graders adjust to a whole day of learning. First graders usually spend their first month of school acclimating to a full day of instruction. His Grandma Carm and other family members were also present. Diego Aguirre, who will turn 6 this Saturday, shares a lunch date with his grandmother Carole Horan.
