NYS DOT to build culvert

According to Lysander engineer Jim Billings, the New York State Department of Transportation has committed to assisting the town with drainage problems in Indian Springs by building a culvert along Route 370 later this summer.

The town is also seeking grants to help with the project.

Timbers hearing set

A public hearing regarding a transfer of density within the Timbers project along River Road on the Cold-Springs Peninsula will be held at 7:30 p.m. April 22 at the Lysander Town Hall, 8220 Loop Road in Radisson.

Developer Bill Price would like to move 200 apartment units, originally mapped and designated for the southern part of the 685-unit development, to the northern area. Preliminary traffic studies indicate the move would reduce overall trip generation by 14 percent, with no impact on intersections surrounding the Timbers. Officials have not yet determined the impact the move would have on the development's internal roads.
