Buffalo Wild Wings will be opening on March 5 at 5671 East Circle Drive in Cicero. The Cicero branch of the national chain will feature seven hi-definition projection televisions and 38, 27-inch flat screen hi-definition TV's for full-on sports viewing according to a press release produced by the restaurant.
The first 100 customers in the door for the grand opening will receive a year's worth of free wings on the Buffalo Wild Wings tab. Although the offer is only good for six wings per week, it works out to over $25,000 worth of food that will be given out. In addition, every Monday night at B.W.W's will be "Children's night," which for $1.99 will give every child between the ages of 4 and 8 an opportunity to win a free bicycle.
"We want to become the neighborhood gathering place, with a local restaurant atmosphere and world-renowned wings and service," said Jamie Chetney, general manager. "Buffalo Wild Wings is a restaurant where guests can pull their tables together, watch sports on TV, and share good food and good times." Chetney has been with Buffalo Wild Wings for eight months, training in Henrietta, NY and then working in restaurant locations in: Columbus, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Pa., Coralville, Ia. and Minneapolis, Minn. Prior to Buffalo Wild Wings, Chetney spent 10 years with the Applebee's restaurant chain.
"Buffalo Wild Wings is a much better fit for the sports fanatic," said Chetney. "It's more of a relaxed atmosphere with easier menu's that cater to getting food out quicker. We are not trying to be something that we're not, we do wings, beer and sports." The restaurant will broadcast every game of the NCAA men's basketball tournament this March. "We have every sports package there is, as well as the Ultimate Fighting Challenge tournaments that are only broadcast on pay-per-view," said Chetney.
