It was hot and humid last Wednesday, but that didn't stop hundreds of residents from coming out to enjoy the Baldwinsville Memorial Day parade in the village. As parade participants tossed candy to spectators, children rushed to gather the sweets to add to their growing piles along the parade route. Fire trucks sounded their horns as people cheered and watched the approximately 40-minute procession. Baldwinsville is one of the few communities in Central New York that celebrates the holiday on the traditional Memorial Day.
