3 Firefighters and police would like to see visible house numbers in order to reduce reponse times and possibly save a life.

3 Increases in the town budget for 2007 are largely attributed to health insurance, negotiated wage increases, an additional police officer. Also, the highway department was confronted with soaring asphalt costs.

3 Fairwood and Kent Place, along with 900 feet of Glenview will be paved in 2007.

3 The Fairmount corridor "streetscape" along West Genesee Street is continuing with Community Development funding. The project will move into phase 3 and 4 this year.

3 "Planned growth" in the area will continue. Residents will see: Pet Smart and Michael's Craft Store at Fairmount Fair. Possibly small restaurants in the town of Geddes, 34 new patio homes estimated at $225,000 in a development behind Medical Center West, a Towne Center south of Milton and west of Home Depot featuring stadium style movie theaters, restaurants, clothing stores, a jewelry store, residential homes, possibly a hotel and condos over businesses. Overall, 45 businesses are expected. Moe's, a Mexican restaurant will be opening next to the Dunkin Doughnuts at Vanida and West Genesee Street. Country Creek Estates across from Golden Meadows on Winchell Road will be the site for 40 new homes, the vacant Office Max will soon be home to a new health club. The YMCA is looking for a site in Camillus or the Onondaga Hill area and Fresnos will be an IHOP.
