Last week, McDonald went to the town of Cicero with her dilemma. McDonald met with Chet Dudzinski and Tom Leo.
"We talked about the problem, they took down all the information and I told him everything," McDonald said.
So what happens now?
"That's up to Chet, he's going to have to go around and see what's going on and not going on," McDonald said. "If nothing gets done he's gonna have to deal with me on the phone."
There are empty stores at the plaza as well as a space behind Sam's Pizzeria.
"They're in a tough spot," Wozniak said. "They had the Victory store a few years ago, Great American, it all went downhill, it's sad because there's nothing for the people in the area."
Wozniak has moved 21 new people into Wedgewood since October, something she says has been a challenge.
"It's tough to bring them in because there's nothing here," Wozniak said. "I had an Aunt who needed a new place to move to, I wouldn't let her come here because she doesn't drive and there's absolutely nothing here."
