If you're someone who needs to relax, sleep more and feel better overall, Tiffany Wickens has a solution for you: massage.
Wickens is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) who recently opened up her own practice at 52 Oswego St. after noticing that no one was offering massage services in the heart of the village. Her interest in massage was sparked when her physical therapist suggested she try it. After completing a yearlong training program at the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage, she was licensed at the end of January, a feat that requires more than 1,000 training hours and the passing of a rigorous exam.
A Baldwinsville resident, Wickens offers multiple kinds of therapeutic massage included Swedish, deep tissue, pregnancy and energy-based therapies such as shiatsu and reflexogy. She cites a long list of massage benefits including relaxation, improved sleep, increased blood circulation and help with muscle soreness.
"If you haven't tried massage, you should come and try it because the benefits are unbelievable," Wickens said.
Wickens is currently running a special rate of $40 for a one-hour session or $100 for three one-hour sessions. To learn more or schedule an appointment, call 382-7816.
