Where's 'Budweiser' sign?

The rumor mill may be working in overdrive lately at Budweiser.

According to Anheuser-Busch Plant Manager Steve McCormick, one of the most frequent questions he has heard lately has been "Is Budweiser for sale?" The reason for the question is the plant recently removed the big, bold, red block letters that read Budweiser on the outside of the building to make room for a more energy efficient sign that also reflects the company's current scripted logo.

McCormick said the expected sign uses new technology consisting of light emitting diodes, reducing the amount of energy used, and each letter will be 22 feet high. He anticipates the sign will be installed within the next couple of weeks.

In regards to the rumors, McCormick assured the plant was not for sale adding, "We're constantly investing into this plant and plan to be here for a long time."
