March into village elections in Skaneateles

Petitions to run for offices are available now at the village of Skaneateles' office on East Genesee Street

The village elections are again upon Skaneateles. March 20 is election day. Polls are open from noon to 9 p.m. at the fire house.

Anyone interested in running for a position within the village government should first pick up a petition at the village office; second name your party; third collect 50 voter signatures said Mayor Bob Green.

Petitions can be returned to the village offices starting Feb. 4 through Feb. 13.

The mayor and two village trustee seats are up for re-election. These officials each serve two-year terms.

Meeting dates are every second and fourth Monday at 7 p.m.

Village Trustee Martin Hubbard is stepping down from this seat on the board. It is rumored village Mayor Bob Green and Trustee Roney will run for re-election, but nothing has been formalized as of this printing.

Village Officials are Robert L. Green -- Mayor, Sue Jones -- Trustee, Marty Hubbard -- Trustee, Alan B. Dolmatch -- Trustee and Mark W. Roney -- Trustee.
