Why are you running for mayor?
I really do love the village of Baldwinsville. I was born and raised here and I have a passion for the village and how it functions. Plus, I had a great childhood here and I want to make sure Baldwinsville remains the type of place that I grew up in. When I ran track and cross country for the school, one of the things that inspired me was competing for my community and representing Baldwinsville. I still have that same passion.
What do you see in Baldwinsville's future?
I see a lot. The Citizen's Party pushed really hard to have a study done by EDR and there was an initial resistance on the board that we needed to overcome. The study identified specific issues such as pedestrian safety, traffic and parking. EDR gave us a tool, a compass for the future. We are now codifying many of the recommendations and utilizing it to assist in the redevelopment of the Harrington Fire Department area and land owned by the village along Lock Street.
