The team recently received recognition for their accomplishment at the Baldwinsville School board meeting where each member of the team was individually introduced and recognized.
"The presentation was very nice," said Rich Carrino of the Baldwinsville Girls' Volleyball Booster Club. "Superintendent Jeanne Dangle and School Board President Kevin Bernstein introduced Head Coach MaryJo Cerqua who talked about the season's successes."
Baldwinsville has played league games against Liverpool, CNS, FM, West Genesee, Henninger, Fowler, Corcoran, Rome, Utica, Auburn and Central Square, and regional games against Ballston Spa.
"When Baldwinsville played in the winter, they were a very successful program," Carrino said.
The team remained successful despite the move to fall.
I thought the adjustment might be difficult, but it wasn't. The season went extremely smooth and for such a big change, very stress-free," Cerqua said. "The hardest part was adjusting to all the tournaments that we played in during the fall."
The team spent many weekends traveling to tournaments throughout NY state.
"The best part of traveling was meeting new people and playing at a much higher level than what we were used to," Cerqua said. "The experience has been incredible for the girls and truly helped them in the recruiting process.
