Manlius Police Department up for re-accreditation

Deputy Commander of 911 Joanne Monroe said the professionalism of the officers is excellent and that they go above and beyond the call of duty. She added that the chief is always around to lend a helping hand to the call center.

Village of Manlius Supervisor-elect Mark Tetley said he is proud of the performance of the police. Tetley said that during his door-to-door campaign stops, the number one thing on people's lists is how proud of they are of the police department and how safe they feel.

Village of Minoa Trustee Ed Theobald commented the department does a tremendous job covering the large territory. He went on to say their response time is great and they are always very open to discussion.

Paul Susco said that everything is handled with expert care, and the team is well prepared and disciplined.

The team will be on hand Tuesday Dec. 11 for their final day of review. The finding will be sent to the commission sometime in March. The final decision on re-accreditation will occur sometime shortly there after.
