Registration and more information including course maps are available at SkanRaces.com. Road Race participants can register now either online or with a printable .pdf form to submit for registration on race day.
Volunteers can still step forward to join the fun. Most volunteer activities are on race days. Some families volunteer together. Each volunteer is given a special Skaneateles Labor Day Race Weekend t-shirt. To register as a volunteer go to SkanRaces.com and click on "Volunteers" or email Bill Stokes-Cawley at email@example.com. Volunteers are also welcome to join the effort in Clift Park at 8 p.m. on Friday, at 5 p.m. Aug. 31 on Saturday, Sept. 1 or Sunday, Sept. 2, or at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 3.
Race organizers would like to thank the community in advance for support. Temporary traffic disruptions ensure safety for racers, your patience is appreciated. Past finishers commented about the positive encouragement provided by citizens along the race courses and community hospitality.
All proceeds support community activities. As a nonprofit activity, Skaneateles Labor Day Weekend Sponsored by Hand Past Products continues to support numerous charities and community projects. In past years, SAVES (Skaneateles Ambulance Volunteer Emergency Service), Ecumenical Food Pantry, and the Clift Park Gazebo renovation in addition to various varsity teams and scouting activities have benefited.
Additional community projects and charitable activities will profit from this year from this weekend event promoting wellness.
