The polar bear plunge is a fundraiser (participants will secure sponsors) designed to be a safe and memorable experience.
An after-hours public meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 4 at the Blue Water Grill on Oswego Street in the village to discuss ideas and details of the event.
"The after-hour is our attempt to reach out to the community for assistance in coordinating this event," Saraceni said. "Baldwinsville has a large number of volunteers and a greater number who want to get involved. This is a great opportunity to do so. We welcome anyone in the greater Baldwinsville area to come share their ideas at the after hours."
Dawn Custer is the chairperson for the Mayor's Ball and Lori Diver is the chairperson for Winter in the Park. For more information, attend the Sept. 4 meeting or call the GBCC at 638-0550.
