The Chocolate Pizza Company's handmade creations such as their famous chocolate pizza and peanut butter wings have been enjoyed by people all over the country (and the world for that matter). The local chocolate company has even attracted the attention of the Food Network.
The Food Network aired a segment about the Chocolate Pizza Company on its popular "Unwrapped" show Monday and Tuesday. According to the Food Network, "Unwrapped" "uncovers behind-the-scenes details on classic American food."
"I'm absolutely thrilled that my business is featured on the Food Network. It shows we've got something special to offer Central New York -- and beyond," says owner and founder Bonnie Hanyak.
The "Unwrapped" segment featuring The Chocolate Pizza Company originally aired during the 2006 Christmas season and Bonnie was delighted with the response. In general, The Chocolate Pizza Company has been attracting a lot of media attention over the last few years.
Time Warner Business Class put the spotlight on The Chocolate Pizza Company in its commercials. And WCNY featured 40 businesses -- including The Chocolate Pizza Company - on its "Business Close-Up." The top five businesses (based upon positive public response) were brought back into the studio. The Chocolate Pizza Company was one of the top five.
"I asked the Food Network how I was chosen to be on their show and they said they found me on a food blog. Then, they conducted their own research on my company before featuring us on "Unwrapped." While it's great to be featured on a national network, to know that I've been talked about so positively by my customers is what really matters to me," said Hanyak.
