After closing the doors for renovation, Common Grounds has re-opened in grand style. With new furniture, equipment and booths, the coffeehouse takes on a fresh, upscale look while retaining its inviting, homestyle atmosphere.
The registers have been moved to the north wall, backed by a sleek new wooden hutch displaying baked goods. A new menu was created featuring some old familiar sandwiches and the new piadines, topped like a salad, eats like a sandwich.
Proprietor Ben Eberhardt has brought in a new focus to serve a better product faster and engage in the community. People should now get the feeling that they can get in and out in a hurry as well as being able to hold conferences at their tables.
As always, Common Grounds is the home of Project Caf (c), the student organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life in Cazenovia by promoting drug-free and alcohol-free activities, art, music, community service and scholarship.
