B'ville observes Earth Day

Earth Day is Friday April 27 and Saturday April 28. If you or your community group would like to participate, sign up information is available by calling OCRRA at 435-2866 or visiting occra.org.

The Van Buren highway department will be open from 8 a.m. to noon April 28 for scrap metal and tire drop off day. Residents can bring any scrap metal to the garage on W. Dead Creek Road for a $1 charge per passenger car tire and $25 charge for refrigerators. Call 635-5124 for more information on fees.

The Lysander highway department will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 27 and from 7 to 11:30 a.m. April 28 at 2726 W. Entry Road for litter drop off. Call 635-5551 for information on what the town will accept.

The village of Baldwinsville's Earth Day cleanup will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 28 along the shores of the Seneca River in Mercer Park, Community Park, Canal Park and along Meadow Street. Individuals, families and organizations are invited to participate in this effort. Call Claude Sykes at 635-9665 for more information.
