Skaneateles studio tour slated for end of month

His practice embraces both the newest Western technologies and the oldest Eastern philosophies. It is a formula that has been successful for both him and his patients. Earlier this year, CNY Fertility Center opened a new location in Latham, outside of Albany.

While at home on the Eastern shore of Skaneateles Lake, he spends his free time creating in clay. Three years ago he completed his studio, which will be on tour this October sponsored by the Skaneateles Area Counsel for the Arts.

The studio allows him to focus and to continue to develop his place within this art form.

Kiltz said most of his art pieces are donated for local causes or given as gifts for others to enjoy.

Fall in Love with Art features 11 artists

Skaneateles Area Council for the Arts announces a Artist Studio Tour- Fall in Love with Art, on Oct. 28 and 29 from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. The tour will highlight eleven artist studios throughout the Skaneateles area. Arts Council board members and Co-chairs Sharon Barno and Deb Gist are very excited with the line-up of talented artists confirmed to participate in this unique event. Attendees will tour the studios and experience the creative process of the featured artists.

The line-up of artists on the tour is: Phil Austin (glass artist), Paul Cowley (painter), Jill Doscher (printmaker), Len Fishman (sculptor), Stacia Landsberg (photographer), Shelly Kennedy (painter), Robert Kiltz (ceramist), Th (c)r se Verley Strodel (painter), Gary Trento (painter), West Lake Conservators (painting restoration) and Helen Woodmansee (painter). Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the Sherwood Inn or the Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce beginning Oct. 20. Lunch will be provided by the Sherwood Inn for an additional $10; call 685-3405 for lunch reservations.

The Artist Studio Tour is sponsored by: Barrow Gallery, Cowley Associates, Eagle Newspapers, Sherwood Inn, Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce, The Skaneateles Journal, The Collective, The Peddler Foundation, and ThinC Gallery. The tour is self guided; attendees may begin the tour at any of the eleven artist studio locations (see attached map).
