"Our family would like to thank all the customers, friends and families that we have met throughout our over 30 years in Skaneateles, including longtime managers Betty Timmons, Sharon Murdick and Linda Wills and current manager Alison Dann," Scott McLaughlin said.
He added, the store will have a full assortment of merchandise for the last holiday season in Skaneateles. He also wanted to assure customers with gift certificates that these can be used throughout the holiday season and at the going out of business sale or may be used at any other McLaughlin's location.
"My family has very fond memories of the village of Skaneateles. We often would take the time during our work day to enjoy a fish fry form Doug's, visit the lake and take a boat tour or stroll the streets with an ice cream cone," Scott said. "The busy holiday days with Dickens Christmas or summer sidewalk sales always made our work enjoyable."
Plans for a going out of business sale are underway. It will take place at the beginning of 2007.
