Rotary sponsors Skaneateles WinterFest

Mark your calendar, WinterFest 2007 will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27. Most activities are centered in and around the Skaneateles Community Center. This annual event is spearheaded by the hardworking Skaneateles Sunrise Rotary Club.

Skaneateles WinterFest's Craft Fair will be bigger and better this year, taking place on both floors of the Skaneateles Community Center. Plan to browse and shop over 40 booths displaying an eclectic range of items which include: homemade gourmet foods and candies, hand-sewn and hand-knit apparel, face painting, over seven unique jewelry designers, hand sculptured stoneware, pottery, all-natural corn-filled heating and cold packs, painted glassware, personalized lampshades, all season gift baskets, Applefields Skin Care, sewing accessories, Magnetic Personalities, hand painted home accessories, Sundance Creations (featuring Jewelry in Nature and Wildlife designs), art fused jewelry, watches, frames, fused glass dichroic pendants, ceramics, photo note cards and photos, Pathfinder Photography (specializing in digital photography), wood carving, stone-sculpting, needlepoint, Tupperware products, all-season gift baskets, Children's author and plush toy designer, clothing and toys by Thai Crafters and stained glass. A number of the crafters will be providing demonstrations of their art.

The detailed WinterFest 2007 program containing specific times and events will be published the week of Jan. 22.

Primarily a SSRC service activity, any net proceeds from WF07 donations and sponsorships will be used to support other Rotary charitable projects and related causes, e.g. Ecumenical Food Pantry, Rotary Youth Exchange, Rotary International Group Study Exchange, Sea Scouts, The Collective, Literacy and Rescue Mission.
