At Cassie's request, I finally decided to undertake the challenge of baking dozens of cookies. Brian, Cassie and I decided on five different varieties, sugar cookies, peanut butter blossoms, Mexican wedding cakes, ricotta cheese cookies and krispy treats (I realize krispy treats, made with marshmallows and cereal, don't have to be baked -- thank God -- but again, I don't like to bake). We started with the sugar cookies, which had to be refridgerated for at least two hours, and all chipped in to help measure, mix and clean.
Three hundred cookies and two days later, our cookie packages were all ready to be shipped out or frozen for future delivery. The kitchen is back to normal and we all have a sense of accomplishment, not to mention a homemade gift for our family.
Now if the cookies only make it to Christmas.
