Camillus-Cora D's Restaurant

Since 2001 Jim Leonard, head chef and owner of Cora D's has been serving unique culinary delights in Camillus.

"I serve a variety of new American cuisine, ranging from Italian to Japanese," Leonard said. "It is really upscale comfort food."

From the moment you walk into Cora D's it is obvious that Leonard left no detail untouched when designing his restaurant. From the welcoming beautiful bar to the comfortable, upscale dining room, Cora D's not only offers great food, but a great atmosphere as well.

Leonard has plenty of cooking experience; he has been cooking since he was 16 and has worked at a number of different restaurants in Syracuse before owning his own, including Scotch and Sirloin and To the Moon.

"I change my menu about five or six times a year," Leonard said. "And all of my dishes are made to order."

Currently the most popular dish at Cora D's is the Penne Rigate.

Leonard enjoys serving plenty of repeat customers from Camillus, Skaneateles, Marcellus and Syracuse. Every Thursday at noon, he also enjoys serving lunch to the Camillus Rotary Club.

"I don't spend a lot of money on advertising, so I am able to keep my prices reasonable," Leonard said. "I also have the ability to serve parties of 18 or less comfortably in my small party room."

At this point, Leonard's party room is booked for the season, but after Jan. 1, it only takes a phone call to arrange a time for your organizations lunch meeting, birthday party, or bridal shower.

"I am typically closed on Sunday's and don't open until dinner time on Mondays, but I am willing to open if a special party would like to come in," he said.

Cora D's is a family run business that employees 15 people from the area. Leonard has lived and raised his family in Camillus since 1987.
