GreeningUSA is bringing the multi-award winning documentary "Chasing Ice" to Syracuse for a special Earth Day screening event. The 75-minute film tracks National Geographic photographer James Balog's quest to document Earth's changing climate as told through majestic glaciers. Immediately following the movie a Climate Impacts and Actions in CNY panel presentation will explore the documentary's environmental implications from a local perspective. Discounted advance sale tickets are only available online via http://www.greeningusa.org/chasing-ice/.

This special "Chasing Ice" Earth Day event is sponsored by GreeningUSA, a local nonprofit advocating for sustainable communities, and by the Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board (CNY RPDB), a public agency providing a comprehensive range of community growth and development services. Event proceeds will benefit GreeningUSA.

Advance sale tickets for "Chasing Ice" are $7 for adults and may be purchased online via this link http://www.greeningusa.org/chasing-ice/. Tickets prices at the door on the day of the event will be (suggested donations) $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, and children 12 and under are free. Free parking will be available in the rear of The Palace Theatre.
